Continuing Education Information 

For Psychologists
IDEALS/NIRE is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. IDEALS/NIRE maintains responsibility for this program and its content.
  
For Social Workers
NIRE has been approved by the Maryland Board of Social Work Examiners to sponsor Category I continuing education programs for social workers.
  
For Counselors (via the National Board for Certified Counselors)
NIRE has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP #5560. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. NIRE is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs.

For Play Therapists
IDEALS/NIRE is approved by the Association for Play Therapy to offer continuing education specific to play therapy. APT Approved Provider 95-009. IDEALS/NIRE maintains responsibility for this program.

For Marriage and Family Therapists
Typically, individual MFT state boards accept CE credits from providers who have been approved by either NBCC and/or APA to provide CE credits. Please check with your MFT state board for details. Usually this information is available on the state board’s website.

NIRE maintains responsibility for its programs. NIRE adheres to all sponsorship guidelines of these organizations pertaining to the provision of CE credits. The number of Continuing Education hours awarded varies with the program length.
